Hughes joins expert PR panel

One director Nigel Hughes has joined the public relations employer group at the University of Chester.

Nigel is one of a select group of North West-based PR professionals who are working with the university’s Department of Social and Communications Studies to strengthen links between the department and the PR industry in the region.

Members of the group provide support to undergraduates in the form of guest lectures and PR case studies and by providing feedback on mock pitches and interviews which form part of the university’s Communications Studies course.

Nigel will also see at first hand the range of new talent entering the PR industry in the North West.

He said: “We have a track record in offering opportunities to young people taking their first steps into the industry, offering graduates everything from short-term work experience to year-long placements.

“Joining the PR employer group at the University of Chester is further evidence of our commitment to supporting the increasing numbers of young people who are choosing public relations as a career.”
