Aaron and Andy get on their bikes

Everyone knows that charity begins at home, yet on the 4^th July charity began in Manchester and ended in Blackpool. That Sunday saw the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride, and a couple of our staff were eager to join in the fun. Andy Wood, Senior Account Executive and Aaron Starkie, Senior Web Designer, took part in the charitable event that saw participants riding from Old Trafford, through Wigan, Preston and Lytham St Annes before finishing on the Promenade in Blackpool, a mere 62 miles in all.

Aaron rode with a group from Northern Digital and managed to raise over £1,400 for Christies. He finished the course in 4 hours 30 minutes, beaten only slightly by Andy who made it in 3 hours 45 minutes.

Robyn Percy, PR Account Manager, also completed the Race for Life in Worden Park in around 39 minutes, with no training! She ran for her friend’s Gran and helped to raise money towards the cause.
